Manager of Business Resiliency

**Job Purpose**:
Coordinates and provides support to all Canada Business Units and their related personnel, responsible for Business Resiliency functions including Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Incident management and Disaster Recovery as required. Incumbent will develop, support and coordinate strategy, standards, training, action plans, and reporting for the successful implementation of a Canada Resiliency Platform. This position will drive standardization, effective analysis, communication and continuity planning, and assist and lead the organization during crisis and management of all incidents including technology & business continuity.
**Key Duties/Tasks**:
- Supports and administers as directed, corporate wide platforms for standardizing, measuring, storing, and executing Business Continuity plans developed and maintained by corporate, divisional, and business unit BCP experts.
- Supports, provides guidance and communicates corporate crisis management policies, standards, plans, and operational support platforms for All events that affect business units across Canada.
- Develops and incorporates best-practices; executes global training standards and programs for crisis incident management, business continuity, and like disciplines as needed to ensure the appropriate level of practitioner excellence across Canada Division.
- Leads and coordinates the handling of all incidents and crisis that impact our clients and associates. This includes identifying issues, resolution, mitigation strategy and communication strategy for incidents and when necessary, with legal matters associated with such incidents. Will engage all appropriate Canadian business units, corporate and business unit/ resiliency practitioners and or champions, senior leadership, HR, IT and Legal organizations for counsel and internal/external communication when necessary.
- Will coordinate a wide variety of All Hazard incidents as required and provides guidance and support in the handling of incidents, including operational incident and crisis support.
- Will support and enhance, summarized and detailed metrics on Business Resiliency status, readiness, crisis and incident reporting, and will performs gap analysis and controls assurance program reviews as necessary in areas critical to the operating effectiveness of Canada Division. Engages with corporate, business unit and division leaders as appropriate to minimize the recurrence of resiliency and crisis incidents.
- Works with the Security Communications and Training organization to publish the Business Resiliency process, security champion lists and escalation trees. Also helps to define content for associates, business resiliency professionals, BCP practitioners, and security champions.
- Defines requirements for the Internal Audit organization to evaluate the effective resiliency programs within the business units/divisions to ensure compliance with published corporate policies and commitments by associates and third-party vendors.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Business Process Administration, Logistics, Business Law, Public Safety, or Information Security.
**Experience**:
- 3-5 years of proven business resiliency, business continuity, disaster recovery, business operations protection, crisis management, security and/or risk management experience.
- Background in financial services, government COGS services, HR/payroll, or business process outsourcing is a plus.
- Experience in multi-national / multi-divisional corporations a plus.
**Generic Skills**:
- General understanding of the client lifecycle functions, including sales, implementation and ongoing services.
- Organizational direction, time management, problem-solving, prioritization, goal setting, leadership and motivation, negotiation, interpersonal relations, verbal/written communications and human resource management.
- Works well under pressure and within time/budget constraints.
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional entities across the enterprise.
