The Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) is seeking a Business Analyst in the Regulatory Division. We have 1 (one) permanent position available to start immediately.

The role
Under the direction of the Deputy Registrar, Regulatory Compliance, and working closely with Regulatory Division leadership, the Business Analyst conducts research and analysis to (re)design systems and processes that align with strategic objectives and regulatory projects and initiatives.
This is an integral role that:
- Serves as the liaison between the business, internal technical teams, and 3rd party vendors or consultants, bridging the technical and functional areas of expertise.
- consults with stakeholders and lead workshops with impacted parties and end users to define current and future desired state.
- gather requirements and assess business impact of assigned projects and initiatives to align outcomes with expectations.
- applies sound project management methodologies and principles to meet objectives and timelines are met, as related to assigned activities and tasks, including adhering to documentation standards and controls, maintaining scope management through verification of project requirements, managing risk through identification and monitoring of issues and risks, and following project management standards for audit protocols in the distribution and acquisition of approvals for project deliverables.
- keeps Regulatory Division leadership apprised of the status of all assigned projects on a regular and as-needed basis through both formal reporting and informal status updates.

Qualifications and experience
- Post-secondary education or commensurate relevant experience in business, management, or information systems; CBAP certification an asset
- 5+ years of demonstrated business analysis experience, including business and technology initiatives, process reengineering and technical writing/visual workflow diagramming
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation/presentation skills. Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to express goals, strategies and concepts; able to build and maintain strong working relationships, both internal and external
- Superior organizational, planning, time/workload management, risk identification and mitigation capabilities to plan and execute activities with generally defined goals
- Self-directing; able to work with minimum supervision, and balance/manage multiple concurrent competing activities and timelines with appropriate prioritization and focus
- Solid understanding of Project Management Methodologies such as PMI or Prince2; experience working in both waterfall and agile methodologies including participation in spring planning and the development of epics and user stories an asset
- Works well in a team environment; supportive, collaborative, cooperative, service-oriented
- Experience within a not-for-profit and/or regulate
