To further this important work, the Indigenous Relations department is evolving and expanding. As part of this growth, we are currently seeking an Indigenous Relations Coordinator to join our team.

The Indigenous Relations Coordinator will be a professional with extensive experience in end-to-end program and event coordination support, including event planning, promotion, venue management, participant feedback gathering and assessment for improving future events.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the delivery of Indigenous Relations programs across the organization. Your organizational skills and collaborative approach will help ensure the successful coordination and promotion of learning opportunities that foster cultural understanding and Reconciliation. Your ability to engage with diverse partners and communities will be essential in enhancing program reach and impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Support the development and coordination of the corporate engagement calendar specifically for Indigenous Relations initiatives
- Coordinate and promote upcoming programs and events across divisions, in collaboration with Senior Indigenous Relations Advisors and various departments including Driver Licensing and People, Culture & Sustainability
- Research participant feedback and emerging issues to recommend or develop new or revised programs, products, and promotional materials
- Identify and engage with organizations and community contacts to support program participation and event success
- Distribute promotional materials and information to internal and external partners, in collaboration with the Communications and Marketing teams
- Share event feedback and industry best practices to support continuous improvement of program content and delivery
- Provide guidance, direction, and training to volunteers and support staff involved in program and event delivery
- Support volunteer recruitment, evaluate outcomes, and offer performance feedback
- This position may require some travel throughout the Lower Mainland; access to a personal vehicle is considered an asset.

**Position Requirements**

- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Ability to assess feedback and translate insights into actionable program improvements
- Excellent communication and promotional skills
- Experience engaging with Indigenous communities and organizations
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Experience training or mentoring volunteers or support staff

Some experience with the following systems would be beneficial:

- SharePoint libraries and lists
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Event management or learning management systems

- Salary Range: $67,048.80 to $72,399.60 annually
- 16 Time Off days per year
- 3 weeks' vacation per year- 5 paid days of Indigenous Cultural Leave per year for Indigenous employees to attend ceremonial, cultural and spiritual events.
