BGC Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking individuals interested in the following position(s):
**Competition Number: SPS0525- Summer Program Staff**

Position(s) Available: Six (6)

Status:
1 x Temporary 5 weeks - 5 days a week, with contract dates June 23 - August 1, 2025

2 x Temporary 6 - week - 5 days a week, with contract dates from June 25- August 1, 2025

1 x Temporary 4 weeks - 5 days a week, with contract dates June 23 - August 1, 2025

2 x Temporary 7 weeks - 4 days a week, with contract dates June 23 - August 13, 2025

Positions are full time 37.5 hours per week

Salary Range: $22.48/hour

The key responsibilities of this position will include:_**
- Leading the planning and delivery of fun and safe recreational and educational programs to children ages 6 to 17 years of age.
- Providing direct supervision, behavior management, support and mentoring to the children and youth ensuring positive relationships occur.
- Building relationships with children and youth in order to understand their individual and collective needs.
- Collaborating and interacting positively with other team members.
- Completing tasks related to the daily summer program routine including basic food preparation, serving and cleaning.

- Minimum of 2 years previous experience working with children and youth in a summer program and/or after school program setting.
- An in-progress degree or diploma in a human services related field.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Prior experience providing programming and support to English Language Learners is an asset
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and demands.

- Confirmed availability from June 23- August 8, 2025, Monday to Fridays from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
- A satisfactory Police Information Check (including Vulnerable Sector) and an Intervention Record Check completed within the last 6 months.
