Kichton’s Human Resource Generalist is responsible for providing Human Resources support to the Operations team including, but not limited to, recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, performance management, work force planning, compliance, job evaluation, compensation management, benefit administration, organizational development, training, and special projects.

In this position you will report directly to the HR Director based in Acheson, AB and collaborate closely with all levels of management. As the newest member of a 7-person HR team, our focus will be to continuously improve HR practices and processes. As the Human Resources (HR) Generalist, each day will be unique as you provide full-cycle HR support to our operations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

**Relationships**
- Advise, guide and support managers and supervisors with all matters relating to employee relations and HR policy
- Support deployment of employee engagement initiatives such as annual employee surveys and work across respective business units on results, actions and resolutions
- Arrange exit interviews where requested and compile reports of results for executive
- Developing effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organization
- Work with Health, Safety and Environment personnel on corporate policies with a particular focus on fit for duty, safety sensitive requirements and drug and alcohol policies

**Compliance**
- Assist in ensuring adherence to Employment Standards Code, regulations, and the company's Human Resource Strategy.
- Support corporate training initiatives with employees, supervisors and managers on company systems, policies and procedures
- Uphold record management standards in corporate HRIS
- Respond to employee complaints; investigate and report on employee, supervisor and management concerns. Keeping up to date records of investigations.
- Effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinary, performance management and absence management

**Compensation and Benefits**
- Assist in designing and evaluating compensation and benefits package structures, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with the company's financial capabilities.
- Administer the company's benefits plans, coordinating with third-party providers and addressing employee queries and concerns.
- Manage employee leaves of absence as required

**Recruitment and Workforce Planning**
- Collaborate within the HR team to proactively identify workforce needs and devise recruitment strategies to fill those gaps.
- Assist with recruitment efforts for field employees, working closely with the Field Recruiter to understand specific requirements.

**Process Improvement**
- Identify procedural gaps and opportunities for process improvements within HR operations.
- Work as a team to implement changes to HR processes and systems, enhancing efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- CPHR Designation
- 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Proficient understanding of Employment Standards Code, regulations, and Human Resource Strategy.
- Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Active listening and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and finding the ‘best’ solution for all
- Resourceful, high attention to detail and professional demeanor
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
