**Responsibilities**:

- Provide assistance and support to individuals in their own homes or in residential settings such as independent living facilities.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain notes about client interactions and care.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques for heavy lifting.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and tidying up the living area if necessary.

**Skills**:

- Experience in senior care, home care, assisted living, or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies.
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals with varying needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and other care providers.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting or physical exertion.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Qualifications:

- Registered Health Care Aide in the Province of BC in good standing with the BC Care Aide and Community Support Worker Registry
