**Job Overview**: As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure and site servicing projects. You will analyze project specifications, review construction plans, and work closely with the project management team to ensure estimates are comprehensive and align with company objectives. There will also be opportunities to contribute to project management tasks on selected projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure and site servicing projects, including sewer and watermain installations.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to assess scope and identify cost factors.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs, price materials, and develop labor and equipment cost estimates.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accuracy in bids.
- Evaluate project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies into estimates.
- Prepare bid proposals and assist in the preparation of tender submissions.
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and ensure all details are understood.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and management, as required.
- Monitor and track project budgets, providing input to project managers on cost control measures.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings to understand project requirements and conditions.
- Maintain and update historical data and unit costs to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
- Stay current on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure estimates are competitive.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Estimator in civil infrastructure and site servicing, with a strong understanding of sewer and watermain projects.
- Familiarity with project management tasks and processes is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in estimates.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

**Work Environment**:

- Office-based work with occasional visits to construction sites for inspections and pre-bid meetings.
- Collaborative work with project management and field teams.
- Some flexibility in hours may be required based on project deadlines and bid submissions.
