Due to expansion, we are searching for a Human Resources Advisor/Manager to partner with our team of Workforce Specialists, bolster company culture, and ensure compliance with all regulations, laws, and company policies.

**About the company**

Located in beautiful Powell River, BC, our organization has a long history serving the community (Est. 1954). Serving over 400 families in the Powell River area, our mission is to create a community where everyone belongs by supporting and engaging people of all ages and abilities.

**Role**

Lead and support our team of six Workforce Specialists who, in turn, support nearly 250 unionized employees Advise operations, and lead investigation and grievance hearings Utilize mediation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills to contribute to positive employee and labor relations Strategize with management to reach solutions, create learning opportunities, and conduct meaningful performance reviews Utilize and maintain UKG to perform numerous functions for employees of iPRS Plan for workforce expansion, succession, and collaboration with the team to streamline current procedures Oversee standards to maintain CARF accreditation Analyze current HR initiatives and identify areas for improvement Provide strong leadership and support within the HR department as well as other related projects and duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in HRM
- CHRP designation
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR management
- Demonstrated expertise in facilitation, coaching, performance management and progressive discipline
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Superior interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Adept at analytical and logical reasoning
- Excellent negotiator and problem solver
- History of working in a unionized environment an asset
- Combination of education and related experience considered
- Experience with UKG software system highly beneficial

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $68,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
