**Position Summary**

**Key ResponsibilitiesRespite Support**
- Provide short-term, in-home or community-based respite care for children and youth, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Plan and engage children/youth in age-appropriate, enriching activities.
- Manage challenging behaviors using trauma-informed, strength-based approaches.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment during care hours.

**Transportation Services**
- Safely transport children/youth to and from appointments, school, visits, and other scheduled activities.
- Ensure punctuality, safety, and appropriate documentation for all transportation duties.
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members regarding schedules and any concerns that may arise.

**Family Reunification Support**
- Support children and families through the process of reunification, working collaboratively with social workers, caregivers, and other service providers.
- Facilitate supervised or transitional family visits when required.
- Provide emotional support to children and families, helping them navigate the complexities of reestablishing relationships.
- Monitor and report on visit progress, interactions, and any concerns to the case team.

**Qualifications**
- Certificate, Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Work, Social Services, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 1-2 years experience working with children/youth with emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, child development, and family systems.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Child Welfare Check.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
