**Opportunity Summary**
Ulnooweg Development Group’s Access to Capital (ATC) team is proud to launch an exciting new initiative: the Indigenous Youth Entrepreneur (IYE) program. Designed to empower the next generation of Indigenous changemakers, this program offers tailored tools, resources, and supports to help youth build, launch, and grow their businesses.
As the Commercial Account Manager, IYE you’ll play a key role in bringing this vision to life. From coordinating workshops and training sessions to providing one-on-one guidance and outreach, you’ll support Indigenous youth as they explore the entrepreneurial world. You’ll also offer lending support and help connect young entrepreneurs with the financial services and opportunities they need to succeed. This is a dynamic role for someone passionate about fostering innovation, empowerment, and community-driven growth.
This is a full-time term position ending March 31, 2029. Travel within the Atlantic region will be a regular part of the role to support training, workshops, and outreach activities. National travel may also be required occasionally—approximately once per quarter—for professional development opportunities such as training sessions and workshops.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide information to IYEs and refer them to programs and services relevant to their needs.
- Manage and deliver IYE programs, ensuring alignment with required outcomes and deliverables.
- Track and report deliverables across IYE projects, ensuring program outcomes and progress are communicated and compliant.
- Offer ongoing business support to IYEs, supporting any needs or challenges they face throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
- Assess and adapt IYE activities to the regional context, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with program goals.
- Participate in promotional activities, conferences, and meetings related to IYE programs and objectives.
- Network and develop relationships within the region, expanding the IYE Program’s reach and impact.
- Collaborate with Communications and Marketing to create engagement and targeted outreach efforts.
- Provide training and workshops for Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurs to support their business growth and development.
**About You**
As the CAM - IYE, you are passionate about increasing Indigenous youth engagement in entrepreneurship. You are knowledgeable of Indigenous histories, cultures, and the unique challenges faced by Indigenous communities across Atlantic Canada especially as it relates to economic development and entrepreneurship. Lived experience or direct knowledge of Indigenous youth experiences in business and economic development will guide you in the creation of an inclusive and supportive environment for Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurs. Building strong relationships comes naturally to you. You will respond to inquiries from Indigenous youth at various points of their entrepreneurial journey.
**Qualifications**
- 3 to 5 years of experience in related fields such as: community economic development, business finance, banking, credit unions, or non-profit program management.
- A university degree or college diploma in business administration, finance, community economic development, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of experience + education in banking, lending, or community economic development will be considered and assessed based on the scope, complexity, and diversity of the work.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), web-based databases, and other relevant software.
- Direct experience in supporting Indigenous youth in similar contexts.
**Experience** and Knowledge**
- Proven experience with budgeting, financial systems, and procedures, with the ability to assist clients with financial planning and accessing loan products.
- Experience in Indigenous business development or economic initiatives, particularly related to supporting Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurs.
- Familiarity with government loan, grant, and contribution programs as they relate to Indigenous business development, particularly for Indigenous youth, is highly beneficial.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a focus on delivering results in a customer-focused environment. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Skilled in managing conflicting priorities and customer needs while delivering accurate results.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles, marketing strategies, and business management practices.
