Bassi Construction LP, a leading general contracting, restoration, and emergency response company is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator for our Health and Safety department. This role is to assist the Health and Safety Manager in providing health and safety support to the organization.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Assist the Health and Safety Manager to oversee all health and safety related activities, processes, and controls to ensure that the safety performance of Bassi remains at the highest possible levels.
- Formulate and document safety policies such as basic safety rules/regulations, accident investigations and/or reporting procedures.
- Organize and carry out workplace evaluations and investigations
- Intervene in correcting unsafe work practices.
- Monitor both employee and employer adherence to safety policies and/or guidelines
- Maintain health and safety related documents and records
- Organize routine training on health and safety matters for the staff of the organization
- Deliver and/or source training for all levels of the company in safe work practices
- Ensure all safety reporting to all regulatory and compliance agencies is accurate and up to date
- Recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety programs and safety culture
- Leverage technology and own business acumen to improve the safe work environment for all Bassi employees

**Qualifications**
- 1 - 3 years experience in a similar role
- Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in health and safety, or equivalent education and experience
- Construction experience is an asset
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations (Ontario)
- Valid Driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and presentation skills

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gloucester, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
