**Position Overview**: Persephone Brewing Co. seeks a motivated and energetic Tasting Representative to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is crucial for enhancing brand recognition and sales through conducting tastings at various retail locations and representing our company at events and festivals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-store tastings at government and private liquor stores to build brand awareness and boost sales.
- Collaborate with Account Representatives to schedule and manage tasting sessions.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing accounts and customers.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential opportunities within the designated territory to the Sales Manager.
- Represent the company at local events and festivals, handling setup, merchandising, pouring, transactions, customer service, and event breakdown.
- Support on-premise events such as cask nights and tap takeovers, and assist in managing product display and rotation in retail stores.
- Provide detailed reports on events, product distribution, sales data, customer feedback, and other relevant factors using a standardized format.
- Manage inventory records and coordinate with the team to ensure accurate stock levels.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong understanding of the food and beverage industry, particularly sales and marketing.
- Proficiency in operating draft beer systems and a thorough knowledge of beer tasting and pairings preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of producing professional written communications.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license; preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and travel as required, including driving for 1-2 hours regularly.

**Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma is required. Post-secondary education in sales, marketing, or communications is highly desirable.
- At least one year of related experience, preferably in the brewing or beverage industry.
- Serving It Right certification required.

**Work Environment**:

- The role involves regular exposure to brewery and event environments, which may include loud noises, varied weather conditions, and the handling of cleaning agents.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.40-$20.19 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Weekends only

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
