**Position Overview**

Coding/3D Design and Robitics Coaches will lead afterschool programs in the _**Midtown Toronto**_, _**North York**_, and _**Richmond Hill**_ area. Classes start from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM depending on the schools schedule and will run for approximately 1 hour. Coding will primarily involve the use of scratch to introduce and help students understands the basics of coding. 3D Design uses Tinkercad to design projects and students will receive prints of some of their designs. Robotics classes will utilize Lego WeDo for younger/beginner groups and Lego Mindstorms (EV3's) for advanced students.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Lead classes with six to eight students
- Actively guide students towards completing the assigned project
- Classroom management
- Advance student knowledge following curriculum
- Lesson plan development, and ability to follow lesson plans
- Room setup and organization
- Motivate and engage students
- Communicating clear instructions and guiding a team of younger instructors
- Willing to develop Robotics curriculum

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge in software programming - graphical, HTML, and/or C language an asset
- Experience teaching students ages 6 to 16
- Good classroom management skills
- Willingness to learn
- Interest in developing robotics projects and classes, expanding student knowledge in STEM fields an asset
- Experience withLego EV3, and Lego WeDo, Tinkercad, Scracth
- 3D printing and design experience
- CPR - First Aid certified an asset (you may be required to be certified within 1 month of hiring)
- Successful Vulnerable Sector Check
- Has a valid G licence and or access to a vehicle of their own

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Freelance

**Salary**: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
