Refrigeration Lab Technician

**About the Role**:
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Assist in lab activities, which include: Motor testing, system testing, system build-up, and prototype assembly.
- Assist in evaluating performance, efficiency, reliability and safety of the equipment and design.
- Work closely with certification agencies and perform testing per the applicable standard.
- Work closely with other members of the department and company on R & D project development.
- Work with various data acquisition equipment.
- Organize and maintain documentation for lab test results.
- Clean up and maintain the laboratory as required.
- Perform any other lab testing and product design work as required.
- Work with outside vendors for product testing/development as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**:
- College/ Post-secondary education or Trade Certificate
- Experience with commercial refrigeration equipment
- Mechanical and Electrical knowledge and experience
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical ability
- Experience in refrigeration piping design, brazing or piping is considered an asset
- Proven team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Demonstrate willingness and interest to learn all things refrigeration
**Location**:159 Roy Blvd, Brantford, ON, N3R 7K1 (On-site, 4 days a week)
**Hours of Work**:Monday - Thursday (40 hours/ week, 12 pm - 10:30 pm)
