**The Career.**

This position reports to the Services Manager and works closely with the Community Relations Manager, Community Director, Home Office Finance Team, new Community Member’s, and their families.

As Concierge at a VVA Retirement Community, you will be accountable to your schedule and job duties as they pertain to your assigned shifts. You will collaborate and work as a team player with emphasis on outstanding telephone etiquette and communication, record keeping and organization as the first contact for our Community Members and guests above all most providing exceptional service to our Community Members and Visitors. When needed, you will be part of the first response team for all emergency calls from our Community Members and provide them with a compassionate and supportive approach to their needs. You will report and document all findings both in the communication binder and to the Services Manager/Community Director or designate to ensure a seamless communication and support system. Ensure the appropriate methods of maintaining confidentiality and privacy of information are carried out in your day to day tasks and communication. Working closely with the Services Manager/Community Director or designate to address, support and honor the needs of our current and prospective Community Members.

The Move-In Coordinator role assists Prospects as they transition into the Community. The Move-In Coordinator is a liaison for Community Members and the operations team to coordinate all aspects related to a move in. This role also provides this Team Member with access to highly confidential information about prospects and as such, also requires a high level of accuracy and accountability.

**Qualifications**:

- Customer service experience preferably within the retirement living or hospitality related industries.
- Post-secondary education would be an asset, preferably in business related field and/or tourism and hospitality management.
- Some accounting/finance/administration background/education/experience is an asset
- Interested in working in a highly customer service-oriented environment and thriving on making a difference in the lives of seniors.
- Confident, results oriented, self-starter.
- Strong organization skills.
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
- Is flexible to work changing work hours e.g. ability to work weekends and some evenings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- An enthusiastic leader who fosters a positive environment and is committed to putting smiles on the faces of others.
- Exceptional customer service standards.
- Strong knowledge of local community, area and region
- Good problem solving and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage their time effectively with little supervision
- Up to date police check-vulnerable sector

- Ability to work as a Team Member, understanding the priorities of others
- Able to bend, stretch, sit and stand for long periods. Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends
- Available for call-ins
- Able to understand, articulate and live the VVA Orange Dot Values
- Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English.

Successful Applicants will be required to show proof of eligibility to work in Canada for the next 6 months.
