We currently have an opening for a **Junior Environmental Scientist** in our **Edmonton** office.
You are an entry level scientist motivated to gain valuable experience in consulting, working in a variety of disciplines and on a wide range of projects. You enjoy learning new skills, navigating environmental regulatory requirements, and are willing to support data entry, report writing and other office-based tasks. You are a self starter, possess a desire to work in a dynamic team environment on a variety of interesting projects but are also able to take on, and pursue, work independently.

What you will be doing:
- Supporting permitting and approval processes including tracking of regulatory submissions.
- Being organized and managing project time and budgets for assigned tasks.
- Contributing to business development, proposal writing, and fostering client relationship.
- Supporting field programs as needed to gain a holistic skillset and understanding.
**Job Requirements**:
What you will bring:
- Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in a relevant pure or applied science (graduate degree preferred).
- 2 years experience in consulting or demonstrated experience working collaboratively in teams and taking ownership of delivering tasks.
- Preference will be given to individuals with a professional designation, i.e., the Alberta Institute of Agrologists or Alberta Society of Professional Biologists, or eligibility for in-training registration.
- Knowledge of provincial and federal legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Strong time management and organizational ability.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Ability to follow directions and take initiative.
- Ability to think strategically.
