Our Edmonton, Alberta office is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist/Technologist to support our growing assessment, remediation, reclamation and monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:

- Active participation in maintaining Matrix’s strong safety culture
- Assist with the field coordination and execution of Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments; remediation and ground water monitoring programs
- Support well abandonment activities including: surface reclamation, soil and vegetation assessments
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, work plans, and cost estimates
- Participate in spill responses and associated clean-up activities
- Travel as required to support field programs
- Aid other service line projects when needed

What We Are Looking For
- Degree or technical diploma in the environmental sciences, engineering, or other applicable field
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Function effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Service-oriented and have the ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated and possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- A valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions and clean driving record
