Position Overview:
Job Description:
- Efficiently, effectively, and accurately complete all steps in the remanufacturing process for every component in a major product family (up to and including straight shafts and armatures to 78 inches in total length, etc.).
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Machinist Journeyperson ticket, or interprovincial Red Seal, is required.
- Multiple years’ working experience and competency in a crank, block salvage or machine shop
- Proficiency grinding industrial crankshafts is preferred
- Proficiency operating cylindrical grinding equipment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions.
- Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively.
- Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator.
Note:
- This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day.
- Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
- Hourly Rate: $51.50 / Hour.
Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
