Position Overview:
**Job Description**:
- Make accurate and cost effective recommendations for individual part repairs
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a block salvage or machine shop would be considered an asset
- Experience machining engine blocks using Rottler machines would be considered an asset
- Previous exposure to and experience with CNC Programming would be considered an asset
- Competency in a machine shop environment
- Must have accurate measuring skills
- Able to read and understand technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and wear a respirator
Note:
- This posting is for a static weekend shift scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - 12 hours per day
- Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
- Hourly Rate: $35.03 - $49.80/ Hour
Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
