**Position Summary**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Implement therapeutic interventions and techniques aimed at improving speech, language, communication, and social interactions.
- Collaborate with other members of the team, including teachers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, behavior strategists, and developmental aides to coordinate care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach.
- Communicate effectively with team members, families, and caregivers to provide support, guidance, and feedback.
- Modify strategies to meet the varied needs of the children, families, and other members of the team.
- Provide education and training to staff, families, and caregivers on speech and language activities and strategies to facilitate progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, goals, strategies, progress notes, and year end summaries.
- Utilize standardized tests, clinical observations, and interviews to conduct screenings and formalized assessments.
- Participate in team meetings, and educational activities to exchange knowledge and enhance the quality of care provided.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advances in pediatric speech-language pathology through continuing education, workshops, and professional conferences.
- Maintain license and certification requirements, adhering to ethical standards and guidelines set forth by the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
**Qualifications/Required**
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Registered member, in good standing with the ACSLPA.
- Specialization or experience in pediatric speech-language pathology preferred.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to positively impact the lives of the families we serve.
- Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check.

$50 - 65/hour
Pay: $50.00-$65.00 per hour
