Events Coordinator

TAG is not your average marketing agency. Rather than simply creating things for our clients, we are an extension of their team. Our company doesn’t fit a conventional mould, nor do we want to. Colouring outside the lines is what we do; breaking barriers and carving new paths is the reality of where we live, and we embrace it.
While blazing our own trail, our work has taken us on countless adventures in many industries including aviation, retail, beauty, tourism, telecommunications, real estate, and much more. Over the past few years, we have expanded our horizons throughout Canada, making First Nation organizations our primary client base - work we find extremely rewarding and fulfilling.
**THE EVERYDAY DETAILS**
We are looking for a creative and driven individual with an aptitude for organizing events and interest in marketing. Here’s what you can expect from a role at TAG:
- Promote, coordinate, and execute a variety of events including in-person, virtual, and hybrid predominantly for First Nation communities or organizations.
- Create robust, effective, objective-achieving event experiences.
- Work closely with our clients to help them strategically achieve not only their marketing, but their business goals as well. We are both business consultants and creative thinkers.
- Collaborate with our graphic designers and creative department to prepare effective, detail-oriented, and powerful work.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, vendors, and teammates.
- Assist in developing effective marketing campaigns using both traditional and digital mediums.
- Occasionally provide support for emergency evacuations with logistics, hotel bookings and management, service coordination, etc. (activities similar to event coordination).
- Any other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Every day at TAG is different and every employee wears many hats, providing you the opportunity to try new things, do what you love, and be a part of projects that make an impact.
**YOUR CREDENTIALS**
Whether you’re an experienced industry professional or just starting out, we are looking for the following:
- Someone that looks beyond event registration and coordination to communication and optimization.
- Strong interpersonal skills paired with great written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to organize and lead others.
- An accredited post-secondary degree or diploma (those who excel in this position usually have backgrounds in business, marketing, event marketing, journalism/writing, psychology, or education).
- Multitasker extraordinaire with excellent time management skills.
- Thirst for responsibility and creative problem-solving.
- Capable of managing high-stress situations.
- A strategic thinker and a doer.
- Highly experienced with Microsoft Office products.
- Must have own vehicle (a valid G driver's license and insurance is preferred).
