At Jimmy's Coffee we pride ourselves in excellent coffee and awesome customer service. Our coffee, a Toronto favourite, is locally roasted by experts in the traditional Italian style. **About the Role**

The manager is the leader of the store and is accountable for the success of the business. The Manager is responsible for maintaining an engaged and effective staff and an authentic, positive experience for every customer. The manager is expected to be in the store at times that are most critical for the success of the business. They are the coach and mentor to staff and should always be a role model with their expectations to the baristas and supervisors.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Conducting interviews & trials and making hiring decisions
- Assessing staff performance:

- Acknowledging great performance and helping to develop staff for future roles
- Confronting poor performance & behavior and providing coaching or delivering warnings and write-ups
- Providing support to staff, communicating store/company info
- Completing effective scheduling one month in advance
- Maintaining a balanced inventory; dealing with any ongoing supplier issues
- Evaluating retail stock, inventory counts and replenishing from “warehouse”
- Managing store finances and spending; completing reports & recaps (DSR, cash outs)
- Ensuring maintenance of all equipment;
- Monitoring training off all new staff; conduct supervisor and assistant manager training
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety regulations
- Addressing any customer complaints objectively and professionally
- Troubleshooting technical issues with store POS and debit/credit terminals

**Requirements**:
Experience
- Customer service experience in a fast paced restaurant or cafe
- Cafe or FOH Management experience

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven history of hiring, training, and coaching and asset
- Effective conflict and time management skills
