**Position Description**:
The Department of Medical & Academic Affairs provides a wide range of services across the hospital pertaining to the Credentialed Privileged Staff as well Postgraduate Medical and Dental Trainees.

The Administrative Coordinator, reporting to the Manager, provides program coordination and administrative support in a manner that enables the Director to manage the Department efficiently and effectively. Additionally, the Administrative Coordinator position is responsible for the coordination of the credentialling, and associated processes, related to Postgraduate Trainees.

**Here's What You'll Get to Do**:

- Coordination of the credentialing of Postgraduate Trainees (Clinical Fellows and Residents)
- Responsible for compiling and coordinating the Medical Trainee Data reports for the Ministry of Health which impacts hospital funding
- Responsible for coordinating Resident on-call stipends submissions and responsible for ensuring the Resident call rooms meet the Professional Association of Resident of Ontario (PAIRO) standards
- Oversees the maintenance of equipment and supplies within budgetary guidelines for the 11th floor call rooms
- Serves as an initial contact and works closely with all outside organizations involved in the Trainee credentialing process, including PARO, The University of Toronto Postgraduate Office and other similar organizations
- Coordination of the annual Trainee intake orientation
- Provides training and guidance to various staff on the trainee credentialing process
- Co-ordinates and manages special assignments and projects
- Provides support to the Director and Manager as required

**Here’s What You’ll Need**
- Post Secondary degree or diploma or 3+ years of experience working in a related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a high level of judgment, tact and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail in completing tasks
- Creative, self-motivated, innovative and ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative
- Superior problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and confidently manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions and multiple competing priorities

**Assets**
- Previous job-related experience in a hospital setting
- Advance working knowledge of SharePoint

**Employment Type**
- 35 hours a week
