**Job Overview**

Regional Janitorial and Maintenance is ready to inspire a Janitorial Team Lead at a client facility in downtown Toronto, Ontario. The client site is a beautiful heritage building located minutes from Union Station. Reporting to the VP Operations, the Janitorial Team Lead’s primary accountability is balancing the execution of janitorial deliverables, Team Leadership, continuous quality assurance, and client services

**Salary**: $23.00/hr to $25.00/hr

**Employment Types**: Full-time and Part-time, permanent

**Work Schedule**:

- Up to 40 hours per week.
- Typically, 6-8 hour shifts (after 11pm). Both weekday and weekend shifts available.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Lead by example; join our Janitorial Associates and Subcontractors in preparing, cleaning, and maintaining a beautiful downtown heritage building.
- Foster, promote and be accountable for a positive and safe work culture.
- Ensure that that services are performed according to service specifications and scheduling while exceeding client expectations.
- Be an equal-business partner; join the leadership Team in staying up to date on industry trends and best practices.
- Conduct facility quality inspections and support the VP of Operations Manager with the implementation of corrective actions.
- Assist with employee relations activities such as scheduling, coaching, payroll, performance management and offboarding.
- Participate in continuous waste management by emptying and maintaining waste containers.
- Clean glass surfaces such as mirrors and windows.
- Maintain all flooring, guest and freight elevators, stairwells and exterior facility entrances by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Clean and sanitize fixtures and designated areas such as restrooms, hallways and common areas.
- Refill soap dispensers and restock consumables such as toilet paper and paper towel.
- Report any malfunctions and repair needs relating to restrooms, elevators, waste containers and alarm systems to the VP of Operations.
- Lead health and safety, security and cleanliness initiatives.
- Maintain and use a variety of janitorial equipment and tools.
- Manage the maintenance of all janitorial equipment on-site.
- Participate and contribute to ongoing learning and development programs onsite and through a variety of e-Learning platforms.

**Job Requirements**
- A minimum of 1 year of maintenance, janitorial or custodial management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a client-centric environment.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a proven track record of exceeding client expectations within constantly changing priorities.
- Self-drive in meeting project deliverables, deadlines, and client expectations.
- Positive, professional, safety oriented and client-centric attitude.
- Proven experience as a collaborative Team player and leader.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Professional working proficiency of the English language.
- The ability to speak and understand Spanish fluently is an asset.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Working knowledge of janitorial operations, best practices, and standard procedures.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, stand for long periods and lift and work with materials up to 55 lbs.
- Posses a clear criminal record.
- Ability to work overtime hours and on weekends to meet evolving operational needs.
