Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Program Marketing Manager is responsible for the development of internal and external marketing plans, promotional & loyalty programs, and events that support the business objectives of their assigned business units. This position serves as Marketing’s primary link to the various Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries (MBLL) business units, marketing suppliers, and partners on a day-to-day basis.
There are multiple Program Marketing Managers, each responsible for program management of an assigned business unit (Liquor, Gaming, Gaming Loyalty, Corporate, iGaming).
**Duties**:
- Participate in regular program and strategy meetings to identify key marketing priorities, opportunities, and objectives for assigned business units and the organization as a whole.
- Work closely with internal Marketing Services team on branding and campaign creative.
- Ensure marketing campaigns, programs, and events are compliant and meet MBLL brand guidelines and standards.
- Approve advertising and direct marketing proofs, assessments, and purchases relevant to assigned business units.
- Maintain complete records of all marketing campaigns/initiatives relevant to assigned business units.
- Lead the development and presentation of marketing plans and initiatives to key stakeholders.
- In consultation with assigned business units, develop performance expectations for each marketing and/or loyalty campaign, review results, and make recommendations for improved performance.
- Work closely with other departments and service providers to ensure promotional events are conducted with integrity and meet performance expectations.
- Work with the Customer Intelligence & Analytics, Enterprise Business Analytics, and Finance departments to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing & loyalty activities.
- Ensure internal/external marketing mediums (i.e., websites, Enterprise Digital Signage Network (EDSN), billboards, in-store/casino signage, social media, etc.) are being utilized effectively for maximum impact and return on investment.
- Utilize market research to identify consumer trends/desires and recommend new initiatives.
- Develop and manage approvals for applicable loyalty program Rules & Regulations/Terms & Conditions to ensure integrity and compliance.
- Provide timely communication to stakeholders regarding marketing and loyalty programs and initiatives, including post-analysis.
- Work closely with other members of the Marketing team to share information; identify and collaborate on marketing opportunities.
- Lead marketing project teams, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and feedback on assigned tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of program and player information.
- Develop and schedule marketing plans to support objectives and targets of assigned business units.
- Research and liaise with other jurisdictions to stay abreast of industry trends and identify new marketing opportunities.
- Make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of marketing and loyalty initiatives.
- Work closely with Customer Intelligence & Analytics to identify loyalty program customer segments for analysis and activation.
- Drive growth and development of loyalty programs to deliver positive change to membership volumes, purchase behavior, engagement and retention.
- Ensure best practices regarding marketing and loyalty strategies are in place.
- In consultation with the Director, Marketing, prepare and manage marketing budgets for assigned business units in accordance with short and long-term goals and required expenditures.
- Participate in departmental strategic planning and develop associated business initiatives.
- Develop presentations on strategies for marketing and loyalty programs and initiatives, and process improvements to improve marketing and loyalty program effectiveness.
- Provide departmental expertise; develop business cases, and/or presentation material.
- Champion Corporate Responsibility (CR) by integrating CR practices into products, plans and work practices and by assessing the business risks and opportunities associated with gambling, liquor and cannabis products, as relevant.
**Primary Qualifications**:
- A diploma or degree in marketing, business administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of five years related marketing experience.
- Three years supervisory/leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience and success developing and managing marketing plans and budgets.
- A self-starter with excellent project management skills who can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams) and database management.
- Upgrading and professional development are required to keep current with changes in the profession.
