The Fund Development Coordinator role will play a key role in supporting the fundraising effort of Trellis Society. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in non-profit fundraising, donor relations, volunteer coordination, and event planning while contributing to impactful initiatives that support the mission.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Fund Development Coordinator will be a team player, thriving in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task. This includes but is not limited to:

- Generating awareness about the organization both internally and externally.
- Support in creating meaningful volunteer experiences for donors and community members.
- Assisting with screening and onboarding volunteers.
- Designing orientation training for Volunteers.
- Creating a Gift-in-Kind strategy.
- Assisting with administration related fundraising activities.
- Representing Trellis at community initiatives and 3rd Party fundraising events.
- Grant writing opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with members of the Fund Development and Communications teams.

**What You’ll Bring to The Role**:
The Development & Communication Specialist must demonstrate the following competencies:

- Support the Fund Development Team to identify stewardship opportunities that share Trellis’ story with the philanthropic community in a positive and trauma informed way.

- Share Trellis’ work with the philanthropic community using compelling, clear and trauma informed methods, both written and verbal.

- Strong self-reflection skills and the ability to identify personal strengths and growth opportunities.

**Knowledge and Skill Expectations**
- Strong interest in non-profit work, fundraising, or community engagement.
- Previous volunteering or working in a non-profit sector is an asset but not required.
