**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a **Basic Needs Fund Coordinator**to join our team in co-creating a caring, dignified and trauma informed experience for CUPS clients accessing integrated services.

As the Coordinator, you will coordinate the disbursements from the Basic Needs Fund administered by CUPS, ensuring it is utilized in accordance with standardized procedures, and that all files are efficiently managed to meet imminent needs of vulnerable clients. You ensure the funds are spent in an equitable and appropriate manner, and support the Director, Programs, to complete timely and accurate funder reporting.

**LOCATION**: Onsite, CUPS - 1001 10 Ave SW, Calgary, **REPORTS TO**: Director of Programs

**CONTRACT TYPE**:Temporary through to December 2026

**SCHEDULE**: Full-time, Mon to Fri, **37.5**hours per week

**STARTING SALARY RATE**:$56,942 to $59,760/year

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create approachable, caring and trauma informed environment for clients, guests and colleagues
- Contribute to safety and wellness of clients, colleagues and visitors by remaining up to date on CUPS health & safety protocols
- Promote a culture that reflects CUPS purpose, ambition, philosophies and values
- Act as steward for client dignity by ensuring confidential client information is handled with the utmost care and respect in alignment with HIPA and CUPS privacy protocols & values
- Chair external Basic Needs Fund meetings with Coordinators of the fund from Rise and 211, including crafting agendas, terms of references, and meeting minutes. Promote clarity and housing stability through effective communication.

**Organizational Duties and Performance**:

- Provide oversight of the Basic Needs Fund Application processes, ensuring all required documentation and support materials have been collected from staff
- Accurately enter all required data points in organizational & external databases regarding the administration of Basic Needs funding and support with accurate reporting
- Credit card reconciliations and financial tracking
- Remain up to date on internal changes to programs, services and personnel to ensure accurate care plan development and warm hand-offs of clients to colleagues

**Stakeholder Relations**:

- Act as ambassador and advocate with external stakeholders, i.e. landlords, management companies, utility companies, pharmacies etc. promoting mission of CUPS and advocating for client needs.
- Develop and maintain collaborative and accountable working relations with internal CUPS colleagues to strengthen communication flow and cross-program understanding
- Provide caring, reliable, trauma informed care to all clients accessing CUPS to reduce barriers to service and increase community trust
- Share experience and knowledge with students, volunteers and guests interested in CUPS services to further develop CUPS social justice impact & external ambassador network

**What You Bring**:

- Diploma in Human Services or Administration with Non-Profit background
- 3+ years previous work experience in related area, social service sector experience preferred
- Previous experience working in a high-volume administration or coordinator role
- Demonstrated experience managing large volumes of data, financial information and reporting
- Strong task and process management skills while maintaining collaborative, reciprocal relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Exceptional discernment, prioritization, critical thinking and execution skills
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
- Previous experience working effectively within multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in database data management ex. Razor’s Edge
