If yes, consider the following opportunity: We are looking for a **REN Implementation Specialist** to join our team at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus. As the REN Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily activities that support Rogers' internal network. Your main responsibilities will include reviewing and executing network builds based on Engineering Design Documents, creating, and executing MOPs, creating change tickets, attending TAB/CAB meetings, maintaining the change calendar, working collaboratively with the Enterprise Network and Project Management teams to execute projects, monitoring queues and actioning requests for firewall, Load balancing, asset management and monitoring, and Business continuity planning. You will report to the Manager of REN Implementation and will play a critical role in ensuring that the Rogers Enterprise Network runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. **What you will do**: - Create, review, and execute network changes - Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to project delivery timelines - Review network tools and documentation to ensure they satisfy department requirements - Create and implement MOPs with detailed instructions for network build activities - Configure and deploy new hardware and software for network security and resiliency - Perform "checker" function for SNOW change management ticketing system - Review and approve network changes and manage change calendar - Implement network deliveries on time, on budget, and with right quality - Prioritize and implement end user requests based on business needs - Ensure timely execution of tasks with engineering and project management teams - Target 80% MOP execution by steady state teams - Provide secondary support to other teams during deployment - Peer review MOPs and assign change resources - Monitor queue for requests within SLA and maintain network diagrams and processes - Collaborate with stakeholders for disaster recovery planning and maintain business continuity documentation - Complete and submit monitoring & support requests for commissioned or decommissioned hardware - Utilize Kaizen methodology to improve processes and engagement model - Develop automation scripts for low impact high volume activities - Troubleshoot and resolve service impacting events - Work with security teams to mitigate threats and safeguard REN **What you bring**: - Minimum 5 years of equivalent work experience in a Network Design and Support role, with a post-secondary education in technology/engineering. - Advanced Technical Skills in Routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), Switching (VLANS, VXLAN, Trunking, port aggregation, STP), Load Balancing (F5, A10), Security (ASA, Checkpoint, FortiGate, SRX), IP Services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, NTP & FTP), Management services (SevOne, HPNA, Tacacs, NNMi), Software tools (Protocol Analyzers - Wireshark), Productivity tools - Microsoft (Word, Excel, Visio, Project), Wireless networking (Cisco, Meraki), Processes (ITIL), and Platforms (Cisco, Juniper, FortiGate, Checkpoint, F5, A10). - Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Akamai and Oracle Cloud - Proficiency with scripting languages.
