Being an advisor in Institutional Settlements means taking on the role of an expert in North American Settlements. It’s contributing the to the success of National Bank of Canada’s Financial Markets division through top rated operational expertise and excellent risk mitigation. It’s also working with a dynamic and evolving team that is accelerating its transformation. **Your Role**:
- Accompany your team and ensure efficient daily operations by working in collaboration with your colleagues and by your active implication
- Optimize processes and ensure procedures are in place and up to date
- Actively participate in the resolution of reconciliation breaks
- Proactively support the Senior Manager of Institutional Settlements in the planning and coordination of your cell’s activities. More specifically:
- Work organization in the team
- Running cell scrums, planning vacations, and required back ups
- Follow up on required training in the cell
- Take ownership of operational or technical issues and ensure they are resolved
- Track team and individual KPIs
- Employee system access management
- Play an active role in change management by being an ambassador for our transformation through your leadership.
- Participate in different project phases such as analysis and test to ensure successful delivery.
**Required Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree or academic equivalent in a related field and three years of relevant experience or any other combination of education and experience considered equivalent
- Experience in Financial Market Operations
- Experience in resolving issues on complex financial transactions
- Good knowledge of Listed Productions
- Good knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel
- Knowledge of CDS and DTC an asset
- Ability to work under pressure, be proactive, be versatile and be eager to learn
- Capacity to work in a team, good communication skills and an attention to detail
- French/English bilingualism required because you will regularly deal with partners located across Canada
