**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to children, addressing their emotional, social, and academic needs.
- Develop and implement educational programs tailored to the unique needs of students, particularly those requiring special education services.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create comprehensive support plans for students.
- Facilitate classroom activities that promote communication skills, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor student progress and adjust counseling strategies as necessary to ensure effective support.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Educate students on coping strategies, self-regulation techniques, and social skills development.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working in a classroom setting or with children is essential.
- Background in special education is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.
- A degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in counseling techniques.
