**Position Summary**
The Photography Summer Student plays a vital role in documenting and preserving the Museum’s artifact collection. Under the direction of the Curator/Supervisor, Lambton Heritage Museum, the student assists the Collections Coordinator, Lambton Heritage Museum to develop collections documentation records by photographing and/or scanning artifacts from the collection then editing and enhancing the images in post-production.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
**Artifact Photography**:
- Produce high-quality photographs and/or scans of artifacts from multiple angles.
- Adhere to established standards for museum photography/scans of artifacts.
- Track which artifacts have been photographed.
**Photography Post-production**:
- Use image manipulation software to make required adjustments to the photographs, following established standards.
- Save completed files according to museum naming conventions.
**Social Media**
- Create a series of social media posts based on items from the collection.
**General**:
- Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County Policies and Procedures, etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed
- Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the position's Physical Demands Analysis.

**Minimum Formal Education**
- Currently enrolled in a post secondary photography program.
- Must be a returning student in upcoming school year.
**Experience**
- Photography knowledge and/or experience.
- Use of Adobe Photoshop or other image manipulation software.
- Work with electronic databases would be an asset.
