We are a GTA Mechanical Contractor seeking a Mechanical Coordinator ( Plumbing & HVAC)

The Mechanical Coordinator assists in all Mechanical phases of a construction project. They will coordinate activities required in the pre-construction, construction, and start-up for mechanical scopes of work.

Responsibilities include:

- Detailed reviews of all construction drawings
- Review of mechanical shop drawings.
- Coordinating with consultants, trades, and other subcontractors. Assist in coordinating it with the overall project schedule.
- Ensure trade work is being completed as per the plans and specifications.
- Monitor the subcontractor's progress against the project schedule and ensure appropriate manpower levels are maintained.
- Identify and track Mechanical related close-out documents to completion.
- Perform verification checks between shop drawings and specifications on all major equipment upon delivery.
- Stay current with all RFI’s, CO’s, addenda, and shop drawings.
- Review all ‘RFI’s’ against the drawings prior to submission.
- Liaise with building authorities.
- Coordinate all facets of project close-out, including commissioning, operation and maintenance manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
- Perform a constant review of the As-Built drawings and specifications and at project completion, obtain and verify final As-Built drawings and specifications submission for final payment release.
- Review bid requests and filter the once for submission
- Attain the supplier quotes for bid drawings and verify accuracy.

Qualifications:

- A University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Architectural Technology or a combination of education and industry experience.
- 1-3 years of mechanical experience;
- Good understanding of building drawings and specifications
- Ability to provide simultaneous support for needs across multiple projects in varying phases
- Strong analytical and detail oriented skills are critical, along with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams and levels in the organization

Employment Equity

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
