**SUMMARY**

The Production Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining an efficient production schedule that aligns with customer demand, business strategy and targets, and operational capacity. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective delivery of customer orders by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Purchasing, and Sales.

**RESPONSIBILITES**
- Develop and maintain a detailed production schedule to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and within operational capacity.
- Create and maintain all production work orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with established scheduling best practices.
- Monitor and analyze production capacity, material availability, and business priorities to maintain a balanced and efficient production plan.
- Collaborate with Operations and procurement teams to address constraints or potential delays.
- Owning and driving continuous improvement of key Production Planning metric, Fixed/ Firm.

**TASKS AND DUTIES**
- Schedule and release work orders to maximize efficiency, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and operational capacity.
- Regularly review and update production schedules to reflect changes in demand, capacity, or material availability.
- Analyze and resolve scheduling conflicts, ensuring mínimal disruption to production workflows.
- Maintain accurate records for production work orders, including updates to quantities, timelines, and status changes.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to stakeholders, including Operations, Purchasing, and Sales teams.
- Updating customer OOR and attending customer calls to serve as the face of Supply Chain as needed.
- Daily measuring and root causing of key metric Fixed/ Firm.

**MEETING PARTICIPATION**

Regularly participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings as needed to review the production schedule, customer calls to review order status and production plans, and cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment to deliver the business plan.

**AUTHORITY**

This position reports to the Sr Manager of Production Planning and is a critical support position.

The position closely collaborates with Purchasing, Operations, and Sales.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY**

This position is not a managerial role and does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

**EDUCATION**

Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, or equivalent skills and experience.

**WORK EXPERIENCE**
- 3-5 years related Supply Chain experience, direct Production Planning experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel (very strong Excel skills desired) and in-house programs. SAGE X3 and Visual experience a plus.
- Experience working in an ERP system.

**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Ability to balance opposing priorities and make decisions that support overall business objectives.
- Experience working cross-functionally with various teams to achieve aligned goals.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Skilled at finding and addressing areas of low efficiency, driving continuous improvement in processes.
