Maximum City Program Facilitator

University of Toronto Schools (UTS) is a merit-based university preparatory school, grades 7 through 12, affiliated with the University of Toronto. UTS offers a rich array of spring break and summer programs designed for students who thrive in an innovative and challenging educational environment.
UTS, in collaboration with Maximum City, is offering this innovative, award-winning program that offers a hands-on summer program on how cities work Topics include climate change, health, architecture, design, technology, the arts, civic engagement and mobility.
**Job Responsibilities Include**:
- Attend 1 brief pre-camp meeting to learn more about the program and your role as a facilitator
- Review the contents of the program so as to be ready to lead and/or facilitate activities
- Assist with facilitation of sessions and daily field trips for participants, grades 5 to 12 during the session.
- Provide supervision for participants from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Collaborate closely with program team members, including the UTS program director and/or other partners
- Work closely with students to guide them through activities in small groups and one-on-one learning opportunities
- Build positive relationships with students
**Qualifications and Skills**:
We are looking for individuals with:
- Any program of study, though a science, geography or social studies background is an asset;
- Experience and enthusiasm for working with young people
- Standard first aid and CPR certification (preferably).
**Honorarium**: $700 per week (less deductions required by law)
