**Job description**

We are looking for an energetic, motivated individual who is customer service driven and who also has interest in learning how to repair pumps. This individual will be universal and assist in the office and shop. Great opportunity for someone who is Mechanical, likes to be hands on but also likes dealing with customers and has basic computer skills. Work closely with Customers, and suppliers, respond to requests for quotations, request pricing from suppliers, etc. Assist with writing up service repair jobs and quote the repair to the customer.

Key accountabilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers at front counter
  • Utilizing product knowledge assist customers with pump selection to provide them with the best solution possible, it’s important to ask all of the required information at initial contact.
  • Provide item and service quotations to customers in a timely manner.
  • Write up incoming jobs, take photos, and notify customer of pricing and when job is complete
  • Process customer orders to completion which includes pricing, picking the order and sourcing additional information if required, accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify customer needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
  • Prepare shipments, assist with shipping and receiving
  • Attend training sessions to improve product knowledge and/or job skills
  • Purchasing and inventory
  • Assist Technician with pump repairs
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, cold calling, identify, qualify and capture new accounts
  • Assist with identifying and implementing strategies to improve customer service, quality of service, productivity and profitability
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies and Qualifications

  • Communication Skills, oral and written
  • Able to multi task
  • Detail oriented
  • Time Management Skills
  • Computer literate (will train the software we use)
  • Technically inclined, Pump knowledge an asset

Applicants who have previous experience in the hydronics or pump industry or fields of water treatment, plumbing, heating, electrical motors or Electrical would be a huge asset.
