Together we are more than 5,000 dedicated faculty, librarians and staff supporting the University of Victoria’s diverse academic programs, world-class research and commitment to civic engagement. **The salary range for this position is**: **- Recruitment range: $67,453- $71,430** maximum starting salary is determined through knowledge, experience and internal equity. **- Performance range: starting salary to max of $75,685** is available through annual performance increases. **_An employee in this classification is excluded from the bargaining unit as defined in the Labour Relations Code_** - Job Summary The Academic Quality Assurance Coordinator manages academic program reviews and related processes as well as coordinates special projects, awards and experiential learning initiatives administered by the VPAC Office. Reporting to the Office Manager, this position works collaboratively with office staff to ensure absence coverage for Exempt support staff positions in the VPAC office, particularly in support of the AVP Academic Programs, and assists in providing front-desk coverage as needed. The position must demonstrate discretion, independent judgement and high professional standards, operating under strict timelines requiring constant adjustment of priorities and balancing of workload. Due to VPAC’s large scope and portfolio, the incumbent will develop and have in-depth knowledge of academic programming, governance, and university policies and procedures. - Job Requirements This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to at least 2 years of office experience working within a complex organization and with senior leader(s). - Experience working with confidential and sensitive material. - Experience building equitable relationships and working in a multi-stakeholder environment. - Experience working in a team setting and a busy work environment. - Experience updating websites would be considered an asset. **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**: - Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment. - Ability to prioritize and manage time and tasks with attention to detail. - Ability to problem solve and make decisions by using judgement, independent thinking and/or analysis. - Accurate gathering, analysis and reporting of data. - Flexible in adapting to changing work priorities. - Ability to work in an environment with regular interruptions. - Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Word) and Connect/SharePoint. **Preference**: - Experience with UVic systems and processes. - Experience in a post-secondary institute. - A certification, diploma or degree that demonstrates administrative capacity. - Experience updating and maintaining websites would be considered an asset. **Territory Acknowledgement**: We acknowledge and respect the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt) Peoples on whose territory the university stands, and the Lək̓ʷəŋən and WSÁNEĆ Peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. **What UVic Offers**: To learn more click here
