**Regional Human Resource Manager**

Mairet Hotels is a quickly growing hotel management group who oversees multiple properties including DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Suites Victoria, Hotel Rialto, & SoLo Suites. This role reports to the VP of Operations for Mairet Hotels, working closely with the Hotel General Manager of each property. A competitive salary and benefit program are included.

We are looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our leadership team at Mairet Hotels. This independent role is responsible for Human Resource management for all Mairet properties.

This role is based out of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Suites Victoria, this is not a remote position.

**Responsibilities**
- Primary point of contact for all HR matters
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, initial screening interviews, extending offers and onboarding and orientations; working collaboratively with hiring mangers through the process
- Work with hiring managers to create/update job descriptions
- Assist with Brand training & development in all departments
- Support and advise managers on HR best practices, BC Employment Standards, conflict resolution, performance management and more
- Manage benefit program
- Manage WorkSafe BC claims
- Assist with Occupational Health & Safety, assuring departments are compliant
- Maintain, analyze and share HR metrics
- Establish strong relationships with managers and team members
- Assist with policy development and updates
- Collaboratively work with managers to create a positive, safe, and diverse workplace culture
- Assist in planning and carrying out team events
- Any other general duties

**Key Competencies**
- Proven experience as an HR Professional
- In depth knowledge of BC Employment Standards & HR best practices
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
- Highly organized
- High degree of attention to detail
- Self-motivated, superior time management and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Stays up to date on BC Employment Standards, WorkSafe BC, & HR best practices

**Qualifications**
- Diploma, degree or equivalent experience
- 3- 5 years minimum experience in a senior HR role
- Previous payroll experience with Payworks an asset
- Managing multiple properties an asset
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
