Janitorial Supervisors Needed

Acoustical & Total Cleaning Services Co. is looking for a new **supervisor** to join their team

**We are looking for new talented staff to work on a full time or part time basis. Hours fall between 6am and 7 pm, Monday through Sunday, with the possibility of occasional evening work.**

**The ability to work on a on-call basis is an asset.**

**The availability to work out of town jobs on occasion is an asset. All travel time is paid, and meal allowances provided.**

**We are requiring a **_**minimum experience level of 2-3 years as a SUPERVISOR**_ **in the janitorial industry. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.**

We are a diversified cleaning company which has been in business for 34 years, and offers and variety of services to commercial and industrial clients, including:

- after construction cleaning
- stripping and refinishing floors
- carpet cleaning
- windows and blinds cleaning
- grounds maintenance
- snow removal
- water damage restoration
- exterior pressure washing
- contract janitorial
- bed bug preparation
- biohazard cleaning

Acoustical is looking for hard-working, responsible, dedicated individuals who will be responsible for leading a team of 4 or more people on site. All supervisors are working supervisors and are expected to perform the same duties as all other crew members.

**The supervisor position in Acoustical is considered a working supervisor position, which requires the supervisor to work both light duty and heavy duty positions on site.**

**Duties Include**:

- stripping, scrubbing, and refinishing floors
- interior and exterior window cleaning
- carpet cleaning with extractor
- carpet cleaning with truck mount unit
- use of autoscrubber
- use of swing machine or burnisher
- use of wet vacuums
- use of pressure washers
- use of boom or scissor lifts
- working at heights
- vacuuming hard surfaces and carpeted flooring
- sweeping and mopping hard surfaced flooring
- high and low dusting
- wall washing
- base board washing
- degreasing of hard surfaces including kitchens and warehouse areas
- sanitizing of washrooms, high touch areas, and possibly contaminated areas
- cleaning washrooms, kitchens, exterior cabinetry
- spot cleaning surfaces
- wiping furniture-garbage and recycling removal
- paint removal from surfaces

**Duties specific to a management level supervisor position are also required.**

**Duties include**:

- overseeing work of crew
- handling problems among crew members
- troubleshooting on site problems
- maintaining communication with main office, project manager, and site contact
- end of day inspections
- budget tracking
- ensuring project deadlines are met
- monitoring employee hours and recording
- conduction tool box meetings and hazard assessments
- ensuring all supplies and equipment are put away correctly
- preparing vehicles and supplies for the job the next day

**Specific skills required for the janitorial level of the position**:

- 2-3 years experience stripping and waxing floors
- 2-3 years experience scrubbing and refinishing floors
- 2-3 years experience window cleaning using banana and squeegee
- 2-3 years experience carpet cleaning using carpet extractor and truck mount unit
- 2-3 years experience using burnisher, autoscrubber, wet vacuum, and pressure washer

**Non-mandatory skills (preferred)**:

- use of ride on lawn mowers
- use of lawn maintenance equipment
- use of snow blowers/snow removal equipment

**WAGE IS NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE**

**Salary**: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
