By utilizing UKG Pro, proactively coordinate all aspects of full payroll cycle processing. Processing of Canadian weekly, union and non-union hourly payrolls, for union and non-union pay groups, in an accurate and timely manner. Assist in the administration of the Company Group Benefit and Pension plans. Delivering the highest level of hassle-free customer service in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

This position reports to the Payroll Supervisor.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Weekly**
- Successfully processes weekly payroll, consisting of non-union, union and Quebec payrolls by integrating hours from UKG WFM and processing payroll adjustments
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, as required, for any questions or concerns regarding payments or to provide direction to make process more efficient
- Responding to enquiries regarding issued ROEs, as required
- Generate payroll reports for month end processing, to meet strict deadlines for union remittances and other government remittances or garnishments along with WSIB/WCB remittances, on a monthly basis
- Maintain knowledge of all regulations, employment laws, and other requirements for the execution of payroll for both union and non-union payroll accounts across multiple Provinces.
- Communicate with 3rd party vendors, such as Service Canada, various unions, WSIB and other government agencies within scope of role

**Quarterly or Annually**
- Process YTD adjustments and audit quarterly to ensure end of year balancing
- Assist in managing the year-end payroll processes, including the issuance of all T4’s and all necessary provincial year-end returns, YTD adjustments as required, prepare WSIB/WCB annual reconciliation etc.
- Create payroll audit reports and conduct audits to verify accuracy of data and
- Assist with year-end duties and reconciliations
- Assist in payroll projects including policy, process, and technological changes to increase accuracy and efficiency and create standardization.
- Track Electrician Apprenticeship hours to maintain accuracy

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2+ years of progressively responsible payroll administration experience with end-to-end payroll processing
- Familiarity with PQ, AB, ON, BC employment standards and payroll legislation
- Advanced MS Office Skills, especially Excel (familiarity with lookup, pivot tables, macros) but also Outlook and Teams
- Strong customer service focus with great attention to detail and accuracy,
- Excellent communication (verbal and written skills) and interpersonal skills along with conflict management to collaborate effectively
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with competing priorities and ability to prioritize
- This role requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative, with mínimal supervision.
- Strong organization and time management skills, reliable team player
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is preferred
- UKG Pro experience preferred
