**Job Description**:
Shipping Coordinator - International focus

The shipping coordinator at ELS, needs to interact with all appropriate parties to ensure daily goals of on-time shipping performance are achieved. In addition works closely with Project Management, Manufacturing, Materials, Freight Forwarders, and other parties to ensure shipments arrive error free and on time.

Role #1: Shipping Coordinator - International focus

Responsibilities: 100% of time:

- Creates Bills of Lading in ERP system, which includes updating shipping information and referencing carriers.
- Providing necessary guidance information to ensure proper processing of all shipments, both internal and external (outbound).
- Performs required transactions within ERP system to support product shipping.
- Works with factory Resource Managers to ensure on time shipments.
- Communicates logistics based problems that may affect the shipping date to Project Managers (flatbeds for an example).
- Provides freight rates to customers or Project Managers when requested.
- Resolves shipping discrepancies, file claims with carriers, aid customers with claims for OSD.
- Arranges Transfer trucks.
- Load planning of flatbed trailers and optimizing cubic capacity of enclosed trailers.
- Responsible for coordinating containers and flatbed shipments for both inbound and outbound.
- Keeps shipping procedures updated.
- Proactively coordinate future shipments, through use of the shipping data report, to ensure that ELS and others have visibility to International, Flatbed and any other types of shipments that require special handling.
- Creates shipping labels using parcel website.
- Coordinates the collection of all shipping paperwork, scanning, filing and retention.
- Prepares and reviews all necessary international shipping paperwork.
- Primary liaison for all ELS international logistics for both imports and exports.
- Monitors all import and export shipments to ensure on time delivery and best method utilized.
- Works closely with warehouse team to acquire dimensions, weight and other information to facilitate shipping and freight quoting process.
- Provides customers tracking numbers and carrier information.
- Reviews freight bills making sure rates are accurate and approved for payment.
- Organizes shipment and delivery of goods worldwide in a timely, professional and cost effective manner.
- Files end of day reports and customs documents when required.
- Prepares necessary customs forms for international shipments.
- Performs other related duties and various special projects as required and assigned.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Working experience in manufacturing with previous experience in logistics
- Prior experience with international shipping
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Familiarity with TL, LTL, sea container and flatbed shipments
- Independent judgment and demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision
- Excellent organizational skills
- Required:
Reliable vehicle and maintain valid driver’s license, may be required to provide drivers abstract related to company insurance to use or drive any ELS/DT vehicle.
