The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry is the largest Faculty on campus and employs over 2,000 part-time and full-time faculty and over 1,000 staff. **Responsibilities**: The Postgraduate Program Coordinator will support the day-to-day administrative, human resources, and logístical functions of the Internal Medicine Residency Program in the Department of Medicine. The role will ensure that education leaders, faculty and Residents have the necessary support, information, documentation and resources to support their academic activities. The Postgraduate Program Coordinator will act as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding admissions, student academic issues, program progression, and other related policies and procedures. The role will be responsible for coordinating and managing events related to the program, and will assist with the development of communications and website updates aimed at enhancing the reputation and awareness of the program. The role will also manage the master schedule and web-based evaluation processes, and support for accreditation processes. **Qualifications**: **Education**: - Undergraduate Degree In Business Administration or another relevant discipline **Experience**: - 5 years experience in an academic setting that emphasizes involvement with residents, and academic staff in an administrative capacity - Experience supervising staff in a unionized environment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Verbal communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience - Ability to write clear, concise and accurate procedural documentation - Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards - Capacity to support and demonstrate openness to persons of diverse backgrounds and beliefs - Ability to understand stakeholder needs and expectations and provide excellent service to directly and indirectly satisfy expectations - Attention to detail with an ability to retrieve, analyze and synthesize sizable amounts of data, while ensuring that information is accurate and comprehensive - A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills - Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment - Ability to effectively present information, and conduct orientation sessions and workshops - Ability to listen, inform, explain, and advise Residents on academic processes and regulations - Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite - Interpersonal skills to liaise and build relationships with prospective and current Residents, staff, faculty and other members of the Western community - Ability to handle complex, ambiguous situations with diplomacy, calmness and good judgment - Ability to plan and manage events of various sizes; familiarity with large scale events an asset - Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals **Western Values Diversity**: Accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
