As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager to join our team.
**Overview**:
As the Manufacturing Production Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of our machining & fabrication operations. You will be responsible for managing the production team, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This position requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Review production drawings, identifying machining and fabrication requirements, reviewing order of operations and ensuring most efficient production plan based on project requirements.
- Develop and maintain production schedule using ERP system, setting project completion dates, assigning work to production team and monitoring their performance and project progress on daily basis to maximize on time delivery.
- Procure material and coordinate outside services for new projects. Purchase of tooling and general supplies as needed.
- Proactively communicate with customers and vendors on status of the projects to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Investigate and resolve any production issues or discrepancies in a timely manner. Answer any technical questions on the shop floor.
- Maintain strict adherence to production procedures and standards to ensure the production of high-quality parts on time and on budget.
- Oversee machinery maintenance and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Lead and motivate a team of machinists and production staff to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Champion initiatives such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to drive continuous improvement efforts and ensure cleanliness and organization.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Degree in Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Technologist, Journeyman machinist or related field with extensive machining and fabricating knowledge.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Strong technical knowledge of machining processes, equipment, and materials.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Experience with SolidWorks & ERP software is preferred.
