The members of the Inland Group of Companies (**IDS**, **Inland Technologies, **and **Quantem Aviation Services) **are highly experienced in aircraft de-icing, environmental management, ground handling and pretty much any other aviation support service you can think of. We operate at over 50 airports in four countries. Inland delivers services at small and large airports across North America and internationally using a range of technologies and customized equipment systems that are purpose-built to meet our clients’ needs.
**Position Overview**:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the Accounts Receivable Manager in the preparation of invoicing, billing support calculations and collection activities. The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include (but not limited to):
**Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
- Manage intercompany transactions; prepare and process billing and reconcile accounts;
- Review customer contracts to understand billing requirements;
- Analyse revenues and expenses monthly and calculate billing in accordance with terms of customer contracts;
- Act as primary point of contact for routine and complex telephone or written inquiries from customers and business partners regarding billing and collections;
- Perform collection activities for past due receivables, including collection calls and correspondence with business partners and customers;
- Continuously follows-up including, but not limited to, alerting business partners and management team of accounts with disputed balances;
- Work cooperatively with all team members and external stakeholders involved in the completion of assigned duties;
- Comply with and maintain data integrity of confidential information, security policies and procedures;
- Perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request.
**Skills & Experience**:
- 3- 5 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work within multiple systems to extract information needed to support customers and business partners;
- Working knowledge of the aviation industry considered an asset.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all departments within the company, including operations, human resources, accounting, etc.
- Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and to prepare calculations accurately while meeting internal and external deadlines;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Willing to learn new skills, assist with automation of processes, and adapt to change to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers.
