**Available Position: Accounts Receivable Administrator, Truro Location**

MacKay’s Truck & Trailer Center is growing, and we are currently seeking a permanent full-time Accounts Receivable “AR” Administrator to join our team in Truro, Nova Scotia. MacKay’s is a well-established family-owned business with over 40 years experience operating full-line Truck, Trailer & Compact Equipment dealerships, with locations in Truro & Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Moncton, New Brunswick. The AR Administrator will join our accounting department and will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage Accounts Receivable: Oversee and process daily transactions, including invoices, payments, and adjustments.
- Collections: Monitor outstanding accounts, follow up with customers on overdue invoices, and negotiate payment arrangements as needed.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on accounts receivable aging, collections, and financial status.
- Customer Service: Respond to client inquiries regarding billing, payment discrepancies, and account status in a professional manner.
- Documentation: Maintain and organize accurate financial records and documentation for audits and financial reviews.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Post secondary diploma in accounting or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. *Relevant experience may substitute for education.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAGE, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
