Landscaping Centre- Material Handler

Our Yard team plays a huge role in getting our customers what they need, when they need it. We are looking for a full-time Material Handler to join our team in Carp, ON.

The Landscaping Products Sales Centre in Carp is a growth area for our business. We supply landscaping contractors with hardscaping stone and accessories, and snow removal contractors with bulk salt and snow clearing products. We operate year-round and are expanding our range of seasonal offerings to include new products related to our roots in landscaping, agriculture and wood.

**Your day-to-day**

Your specific job responsibilities may vary by season, but your main duties will include:

- Picking and preparing orders - whether it be landscaping stone (“interlock”), road salt, pallets, or firewood
- Ensuring orders are complete and accurate, and identifying any issues or discrepancies
- Making material packages delivery-ready where applicable: safely bundling, strapping and labeling them for the next stage of handling
- Loading orders onto KOTT delivery vehicles and customer vehicles
- Other duties related to the production and preparation of products

**What you need to succeed**
- Forklift experience is required
- Experience working with your hands
- Knowledge of landscaping stone products is considered a strong asset
- Experience working as a sawyer, and/or with a chain saw, is a strong asset
- G Class Driver’s license with clean abstract
- Quality and detail oriented
- Customer service focus
- Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and able to stand for long periods
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate well in English

**KOTT will provide you with on-the-job training.** Please note that CSA-approved safety footwear is required - KOTT will provide other PPE.

- Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
