Flight Attendant Manager

**Position Summary**
The Flight Attendant Manager is responsible for the professional standards of the cabin crews under their authority, which includes: managing, leading, coaching and development of flight attendants and the development and maintenance of Flight Attendant training records, programs and applicable manuals, ensuring they are developed to meet Transport Canada Regulations and Standards and to facilitate the delivery of training programs and lesson plans accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
The Flight Attendant Manager is a working manager responsible for the day-to-day operation, leading by example the professional standards of the cabin crews under their authority and in particular, the following:
- Responsible for ensuring that the department is adequately staffed, and ensure that those staff are adequately trained, in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements
- Assuring that a current and approved Flight Attendant Manual is in place
- Assuring that a current and approved Flight Attendant Training program is in place
- Issuance of directives and notices to the flight attendants as required
- Actioning and distributing accident, incident, and other occurrence reports
- Processing and actioning of any cabin crew reports
- Supervision of flight attendants
- Assuming any responsibilities delegated by the Operations Manager
- Training flight attendants in accordance with the approved training program
- Maintaining flight attendant training records
- Liaise with other company departments
- Development of safety features cards
- Ensuring that the department is adequately staffed, and that those staff are adequately trained, in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements
- Flying and flight attendant duties as required
- Providing exceptional customer service and leading by example
- Acceptance and completion of other duties as assigned
- In their absence, all responsibilities for duties shall be delegated to another qualified individual, except that the knowledge requirements detailed under flight attendant manager qualifications may be demonstrated to the air operator rather than the Minister
**Minimum Required Education and Experience**:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Demonstrate knowledge to Transport Canada with respect to the content of the Canadian Aviation Regulations/Standards, Aeronautics Act, Company Operations Manual, Air Operating Certificate/Operating Specifications and be approved by Transport Canada for the position of Flight Attendant Manager
- Prior Flight Attendant experience is required
- Must have a strong understanding of the Flight Attendant position and Canadian Aviation Regulations
- Preference will be given to Flight Attendants with training and management experience
- Ability to read and understand collective agreements considered an asset
- Computer and database efficiency an asset (AvAIO computer system preferred)
- Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program
- Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training
- Valid Driver’s license
**Working Conditions**:
- The Flight Attendant Manager shall fly a minimum of two scheduled
