**Position Summary**

Reporting to the SOCC Manager, the Medevac Flight Follower is the key position responsible and accountable for the coordination and communication of all medevac aircraft movements, and for assisting in the planning, directing, coordinating and communicating of all aspects of Perimeter’s Medevac operations, both ground and air. The Medevac Flight Follower is also responsible to complete, and to ensure completion of, daily administrative tasks in relation to medevacs.

The main goal of this position is to coordinate Medevac flights and crews, provide flight following and guarantee on-time performance.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Perform Flight Following and maintain the airline management software, which includes Out, Off, On and In times for all flights, as well as a delay code when required
- Maintain consistent communication with MTCC regarding status of all medevac aircraft
- Ensure that updated information be provided to Crew Scheduling and Duty Manager as flights are booked and/or updated, and assist with crew scheduling as required
- Modify flight routing for all flights, as required
- Ensure that all flight crew have checked in and/or been notified of their flight schedule in accordance with company policies
- Possess the ability to make informed decisions without compromising internal policies/procedures
- Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of department policies/procedures as they relate to flight control and risk, ensuring that they are applied on a consistent and ongoing basis i.e. safety/security standards, on-time performance deadlines
- Assist, if required, with ensuring that customer requirements are met on all flights with respect to flight crew and other items that may arise after hours
- Provide flight following to all Perimeter’s flights (scheduled and charters). After hours as required
- Provide training and mentoring to new flight followers, ensuring that the SOCC is maximizing operational effectiveness
- Communicate to all departments when an irregular operations (IROP) situation occurs
- Maintain information, ensuring operational software is updated and accurate in regards to times, delays, comments, flight numbers, etc.
- Enter all required data from the Operational Flight Plans and Journey Logbook to ensure flight crew flight time information is accurate
- Track all pilots, nurses, and ACP flight and duty times
- Ensure that all aspects of the Company Operations Manual are followed relating to “Type C” Operational control
- Responsible for the creation and distribution of all client invoices
- Perform additional duties as assigned

**Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications**
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
- Prior experience in operations and/or flight coordination preferred but not required
- Canadian Radio Licence (Aeronautical) required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Transport Canada Generic Dispatch Exams (FDMET and FDOPS) are considered an asset, but not required
- Ability to read and interpret aviation weather (NAV Canada) an asset, but not required
- Strong customer service experience considered an asset
- Previous experience with Airline Management Software (VMO computer system preferred)
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

**Working Conditions**
- Physically able to perform all listed job duties
- Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone
- Modified work agreement (7 on/7 off or Monday-Friday)
- Various shifts to meet service level requirements of the airline
- Work performed primarily in an office environment
- Occasional lifting of approximately 30 lbs may be required
- Be able to work outside of public transit hours
- Physical location of this position is only accessible via flight of stairs
