**POSITION TITLE: Public Relations & Events Coordinator**

**LOCATION: Sudbury, ON**

**REPORTS TO: VP of Sales & Support**

**DEPARTMENT: Corporate Sales**

**SCOPE**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Event planning and coordination of key vendors for internal and external customer functions.
- Planning, coordinating and attendance of internal events, trade shows, press events, and public announcements.
- Writing and editing of product marketing materials that support MacLean’s business-wide, global sales strategy in North America, Latin America, South Africa, and Australia (brochures, technical specification sheets, corporate and product-specific PowerPoint presentations, trade publication content, videos, photos, media releases, print advertising).
- Coordination of graphic design including photo and video production consultants in relation to the development of the above-listed product marketing materials.
- Helping to update MacLean website and social media footprints (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).
- Scheduling and coordinating media coverage and adhering to requirements of media affiliates. (TV/Radio/Newpaper/Magazine).
- Assisting with the management of MacLean’s branded merchandising design, ordering, and distribution.
- Obtain quotations from outside vendors as required.
- Enter Purchase Requisitions and ensure fulfillment of orders once approved.
- Working closely with the leadership team to support various programs and event needs including but not limited to;
- Recruitment Adverts
- Public Forums and Announcements
- Grand Opening Events
- School Board Partnerships
- Open houses and Technology Events
- Industry Events and Guest Publications

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES**

**Skills**:

- Interpersonal
- Written and verbal communication
- Detail oriented
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop, D365)
- Time management (ability to adhere to strict timelines and last-minute requests)
- Basic understanding of social media and promotional marketing
- Knowledge of performance monitoring methods
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion
- Diploma or Degree in a related discipline is preferred

Experience
- Previous Marketing and Advertising experience is an asset

Working Conditions
- Office setting
- Travel may be required
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

Bona fide Occupational Requirements
- Must be able to complete all required training
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
