DolarShop is a leading individual small pot restaurant, offering flavourful hotpot soup. We are seeking a Vice General Manager to join our team immediately. Our restaurant, and the location of work for this position is located at 5300 Number 3 Road Unit 720, Richmond, British Columbia V6X 2X9.

This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours/week with a salary of $33/hour (with potential wage increases), plus potential performance-based bonus. We also offer extended medical insurance 2 weeks’ vacation, and a relocation allowance.

Our employees are able to communicate in English or Mandarin at work.

The main responsibilities for this position include:
Assisting the General Manager in overseeing and providing direction to all staff to ensure smooth operation of restaurant and that all duties are completed appropriately;
Dealing with customers and resolving customer complaints;
Planning and implementing mechanisms to ensure adequate stocking of all ingredients, products and supplies;
Preparing all shift checklists as per the restaurant’s Specification Manual, and walk-through inspection in a timely and accurate manner;
Overseeing kitchen activities to ensure optimal cleanliness, presentation and smooth operation;
Reporting workplace accidents, required equipment maintenance, and other relevant situations to management, and providing assistance as needed;
Ensuring all restaurant policies are followed, including cash policies and procedures, workplace health and safety policies, meal and break policies, food safety policies and waste tracking and disposal;
Establishing schedules to ensure optimal staffing and service levels at all times, including conducting pre-shift meetings; Assessing and reporting the performance of individual team members;
Participating in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and training of new employees; and

Assisting management in achieving sales targets as well as in strategic planning.

You must have the following qualifications:
Extensive experience in the restaurant industry overseeing operations and supervising large teams of over 50 employees

Specialized knowledge in Chinese cuisine or hotpot restaurants Experience leading restaurant teams to achieve revenue goals

Experience implementing new policies and processes in a restaurant setting Willingness to work on a flexible schedule
