**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Program Manager, Capital Assets, this position assists with planning and management of the Program and focuses on financial control for capital projects enterprise-wide. Maintains confidentiality with respect to real estate and other capital information.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensures capital project procedures are adhered to by providing guidance, advice and training to project managers on financial controls and related issues.

Monitors, analyzes, tracks and makes recommendations related to financial controls throughout the project life cycle. Includes project activation, procurement processes, progress draws, project costs, cash flow forecasts, capitalization and closing.

Provides internal control check for completeness, accuracy and proper signoff of project forms and invoices.

Assists Program Manager with compilation and preparation of financial information for capital reporting and/or to address ad hoc capital information requirements.

Participates as a team member on special projects, including development and enhancement of systems, procedures and processes.

Provides backup to Program Manager and assists with planning and management of the Program.

Performs related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job.

**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The competencies of this position would typically be acquired through completion of a degree in business with completion of an accounting designation and 4 years’ related experience in a large complex organization.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Solid knowledge of GAAP and project accounting with strong analytical skills to monitor and track costs

Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to discuss and explain capital and operational issues to departmental and project managers

Solid time management, organizational skills to be able to coordinate reporting activities for multiple projects and department managers with tight deadlines.

Working knowledge of PSAB accounting standards and preferably general understanding of TransLink’s governance legislation

Proficiency on all office software, including solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.

**Other Information**:
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

**Work Schedule**:
37.5 hours per week.

**Work Designation**:
Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

**Rate of Pay**:
Salary $75,600 - $113,400 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
